Arizer Solo III Intergalactic recall: what it covers — and what it does not
Aktie
In June 2026, Health Canada and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), together with 7111495 Canada Inc. (doing business as Arizer Tech), announced a voluntary recall of a specific Arizer Solo III colourway: the Solo III Intergalactic (Black). The hazard is serious — an internal lithium-ion battery that can ignite or explode, creating fire and burn risk — but the scope is narrow. This is not a recall of every Solo 3 / Solo III on the market.

If you own any Solo III, the useful response is verification first: colourway, serial prefix, and packaging UPC. Panic about every Solo 3 is not what the official notices describe.
What the recall covers
Per the Canada.ca recall notice (last updated 18 June 2026) and the parallel CPSC announcement:
- Product: Arizer Solo III Intergalactic (Black) portable vaporizer only
- Hazard: the internal lithium-ion battery can ignite or explode, posing fire and burn hazards
- Sales window: May 2025 through January 2026
- Units reported sold: about 1,687 in Canada and about 5,000 in the United States
- Packaging UPC: 628078802274
Only devices whose serial numbers begin with one of the following prefixes are included:
- M3B1G5
- M3F4G6
- M35C43
- M3PN54
- M3SR42
- M38G53
- M3G576
- M3C121
The serial number is etched on the bottom of the device and is also printed on the outside of the product packaging. If your Intergalactic (Black) unit’s serial does not start with one of those prefixes, it is outside the listed affected set — but if you are unsure, contact Arizer using the official recall channels below rather than guessing.
What the recall does NOT cover
Official wording is explicit about the colourway: Intergalactic / Black only. Other Solo 3 / Solo III colourways and models that are not named in the Health Canada or CPSC notices are not part of this recall as published. That does not mean owners of other units should ignore battery safety generally — it means this particular regulatory action is targeted.
Also outside the battery hazard are the usual glass and stem accessories people use with Solo-family devices. Stems, glass aromatherapy tubes, and mouthpieces are not the recalled component; the issue described by regulators is the internal lithium-ion battery in the named Intergalactic (Black) units. If your device is unaffected, continuing to use well-fitting glassware is unrelated to this recall’s cause.
Incidents reported (as of early June 2026)
Canada.ca states that as of 2 June 2026, the company had received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company had received four reports of incidents and no reports of injuries. Those figures are from the official Canadian summary; they are a snapshot as of that date, not a guarantee that no further reports will appear.
What owners should do
If you have an Arizer Solo III Intergalactic (Black) that matches the UPC and an affected serial prefix:
- Stop using it immediately. Do not continue charging or heating sessions while you sort out replacement.
-
Contact Arizer / 7111495 Canada Inc. for a free replacement via the channels listed on the official notices:
- Telephone: 1-888-291-0521 (Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST, per Canada.ca)
- Email: recall@arizer.com
- Company site / recall submission form linked from Arizer’s recall information (also referenced by CPSC)
- Follow Arizer’s instructions for confirming the serial and for disposal. CPSC-style guidance for the U.S. process describes registering, confirming the serial falls in the affected ranges, documenting disposal as instructed (including marking the device as recalled where required), and then receiving a replacement Solo III V2. Do not treat recalled lithium-ion battery devices as ordinary household rubbish or curbside recycling; follow the hazardous-waste / instructed disposal path Arizer and regulators provide.
Canada’s Consumer Product Safety Act also prohibits redistributing, selling, or even giving away recalled products in Canada — another reason to use the official replacement path rather than passing a unit along.
Practical checklist for Solo 3 owners
- Confirm colourway: is it Intergalactic (Black)?
- Read the serial on the device bottom or outer packaging against the eight prefixes above.
- Check packaging UPC 628078802274 if you still have the box.
- If matched: stop use and contact Arizer for free replacement.
- If not matched / other colourway: this recall notice does not name your unit — keep normal battery care habits, but you are not in the listed affected set.
Accessories such as stems and glass paths are separate from the battery issue. Owners of unaffected Solo 3 units who want cooler or smoother draws can still focus on glass length, mouthpiece design, and chamber packing technique — topics that have nothing to do with this recall’s battery hazard. The Vapetrix stocks stem and glass options for Arizer Solo-family devices when you need replacements or upgrades that are independent of the chassis battery.
Why clarity matters
Recall headlines travel faster than serial tables. The accurate public-safety message is dual: take the hazard seriously if your Intergalactic (Black) unit is in the affected serial list — and do not assume every Solo III is recalled. Check the colourway, check the serial, use the official contact routes, and keep glass/stem accessories in their proper category: useful session tools, not the subject of this battery action.
